Murphy's law says, "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong".
Lord Most High might have decided not to create the Universe. He did not. He, Exalted is He, created it.
Murphy's law busted.
You might have born in a family without Islam. Masha Allah you were born a Muslim. Things did not go wrong in this direction.
Murphy's law is dead. All Praise to Lord Most High.
Those who are new Muslims might not have stumbled upon Islam. That would have been a terribly wrong thing to happen. It did not.
Murphy's law is gone.
Question : What about those who are still not in the fold of Islam?
Answer : That is a different question. A single exception is enough to kill a law and that is done. To complete the argument-if you are not a Muslim yet you are invited to Islam from the depths of heart. It is a good thing and we would like to share it with you. It is a sentiment of love, not of superiority or derision. And a sentiment of care and concern.
Back to Murphy's law. But no, it is gone long.
If something unpleasant happens in our life then it is a decision of our Lord Most High. Either it is a test to increase our stature or a reminder of our failings. It is either for cleaning us up or for increasing our faith. Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (NM) has a very pertinent observation about such things. As is usual it sounds like a final word (after the words of the Companions (RA)) on this matter. That will be presented, Lord willing, later less we stray far off the topic.
