(1) Once a case of flatulence occurred in the blessed presence of the Holy Prophet, may Peace and Blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him. Another one of the Companions, may Allah Almighty be pleased with all of them, present laughed. "Why did you laugh?", the Holy Prophet demanded, may Peace and Blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him.
All Praise be to Allah Almighty who has provided us guidance even in such circumstances.
(2) Once a guest of a Shaikh had flatulence in his presence. The guest was ashamed. The Shaikh said, "What did you say?", in a loud voice-as if he was hard of hearing. The guest was relaxed.
The Shaikh lived the rest of his life as if he was deaf.
