It is not forbidden to earn the worldly things but do not be attached to this world. If it does not make sense then think like this: Suppose you get a boil on your finger then you'll do all of your work but you'll also be alert all the time so as not to hurt your finger. In a similar way keep yourself busy in the worldly things without doing the least dame to your hereafter.
