We and Our Forefathers

We indulge in lies, in back biting, our dealings are bad. We go to Elders but come back as such. Even in religious seminaries (madarsas) we indulge in distrust and defame them by doing so. We take the cover of religion but indulge in fraud. (Few days ago the leading Urdu newspaper published the photograph of an ambassador (safeer) of some religious seminary (madarsa) lying on garbage heap, apparently inebriated with collection receipts spread around him. May Allah Almighty forgive the act of repeating the report.) The seminaries are declining because of this.

Use your body parts for obedience. For example use the eyes to glance at the Holy Qura'n.

A Seeker reported that he went to visit his Shaikh. After eating the food at my Shaikh's home I did not commit a sin for forty days, he reported, neither grave sin nor small. A Shaikh told another stories. He ate the sweet balls (laddoos) presented to him by somebody. For next few days I got so dark and suffocating thoughts that I wondered as to where from they all had descended, he said.

When people presented big amounts of money to him Shah Hardoi (NM) did not accept it. Who knows what are the sources of income?
