Professor Ahatisham Ahmed Nizami (DB)

Professor Ahatisham Ahmed Nizami (DB) is a son of the legendary historian Professor Khaliq Ahmed Nizami. He is a professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Aligarh Muslim University. He has served as the Chairman of his Department and as the Dean of Faculty of Engineering at AMU, Aligarh. His specialization is Combustion Engineering. He is also a caliph of Hazrat Maulana Jamil Ahmed Qadiri (RA). He carries both spiritual and worldly honours with dignity. He usually visits Hazrat Shaikh (DB) after the sitting (majlis), at the tea time, particularly when Hazrat Qai Amir Hasan Sahab (DB) too is around. He is establishing the K.A.Nizami Center of Islamic Sciences at AMU. He has compiled the Sayings (malfoozat) of his Shaikh as Talking About Jamil (tazkira-tul-Jamil). Professor Abdul Wasay Usmani, being his senior, has a very informal relationship with him. Hazrat Shakih (DB)'s face lights up when he is present at tea time.
