Hazrat Qari Amir Hasan Sahab, may Allah Almighty provide us his blessings for a long time to come, usually quotes a couplet of Hazrat Abdul Hayy Arifi (RA). The meaning is as follows.
What do you inquire about the state of my life?
It doesn't have maturity, nor play and certainly no adventure,
The instants that were consumed by the memory of the Beloved,
That is, yes, that is the sum total of my life.
(Meri zeest ka haal kya poochhte ho,
Na peeri na tifli na is mein jawani,
Jo kuchh sa-atein yaad-e-dilbar mein guzrein,
Wahi hain, wahi meri kul zindagani)
