Whatever you do adopt religion in that. Find out as to what is the Doctrinal directive concerning that action. Keep fast because that is what Lord Most High wants of us. An argument for fasting may be that it will save expenditure. This is an argument from the baser self. Why am I eating? Because Allah Most high wants. Why am drinking water? Because Allah Most High wants.
