When the north Indian planes are scorching in the sunlight many people, those who have been endowed by Allah Almighty to do so, head to the Himalayan hill stations. By the affluence showered by Lord Almighty people indeed head for Dehradoon or Mussorie even in other weathers except for the Monsoon season, from Delhi. If you take this journey by road then thirty five kilometers after Meerut there is a town called Khatauli. Somebody said that the name is a distorted form of the phrase khitta-e-wali, the area of a friend of Allah. It indeed is an area of friends, not a friend of Allah. Shading light on this aspect is a task appropriate for a Person of Allah and it should be left to them. Who are we, the dirty people, to wag our tongue about it? It can only send a shiver along the spine to think of Shah Abdur Rahim (RA), Shah Waliullah Muhaddis Dehlvi (RA), Shah Abdul Aziz (RA), Shah Abdul Qadir (RA), Shah Ismail Shaheed and so many more. Moreover we are only a pair of ten miles away from Deoband. Great is our Lord Almighty!
As we exit Khatauli there is a web of canals. You do not have to be a friend of Allah (waliullah) to get an specimen of the declaration in the Holy Qura'n, " They will dwell in the Gardens beneath whom will be canals." After these canals there are two motels. The hotels that are on road and serve the purpose of old time caravansarais. One is Cheetal and another is Cheetal Grand. The latter has the connection to the present topic, incidentally, not directly. Cheetal Grand is famous. People say, and they do so rightly, that once you enter inside it you are transferred out of India, into west, Europe or America. Indeed you are. It is a kind of miracle of Allah Almighty or, at least a charisma (karamat) of some Friend of Allah, by the Grace of Allah Almighty. May Allah Almighty provide sustenance to it all.
Cut back to Anona House. There is a man in the sitting (majlis) who is clad, like most others, in white kurta and trousers, at peace and dignified. He also has uncanny resemblance with Professor Akhtar Haseeb, who too is present at the sitting. At the time Hazrat Shaikh (DB) remarks that he is the Cheetal man. Number one it is a surprise, a pleasant one indeed. Another example of a person not forgetting Allah Almighty even in the midst of this wretched world. Number two, he is not a brother of Professor Akhtar Haseeb. Latter is from Allahabad. But they look so close to each other! "All People of Allah look the same", said Hazrat Shaikh (DB). It is said about a caliph of Hazrat Thanwi (NM) that in last years of his life people used to get the impression that Hazrat Thanwi (NM) is sitting. If one has a look at Eid congregation or Friday congregation then the same can be said about all believers. There may be tall people, short people, there may be healthy people and thin people but all believers look as if they have been modeled after a single specimen. That is our beloved Prophet, may Peace and Blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him.
Final strand. In biology there is a theory called Darwin's Theory of Evolution. This theory does not alter any scientific observation. You call have same classification of animals whether you believe Darwin's theory or not. You call have same classification of plants whether you believe Darwin's theory or not. Somehow in the western world, particularly the atheistic and secular society, it has come to rise as a scientific theory. Western world dominates the scientific canvas at this time and hence even oriental scholars go along with that point of view of taking Darwin's word as the reality. The scientific community gives an example that after decades of living together husband and wife start looking like each other. This is presented as an example of evolution. At the same time it is asserted that evolution takes millions of years. That is part of the Darwinian thesis. There are many other evidences that fly in face of the theory but the scientific community ignores them. Among Muslims it is Harun Yahya (Adnan Oktar) who has been trying to debunk it and Mufti Taqi Usmani (DB)'s site links to it. More can be seen there about this topic. Some scholars point out that there is problem of unity of beings (wahdat-ul-wujood) with writings of Harun Yahya, so that must be kept in mind while browsing his writings.
All-Pure is Allah Almighty. All Praise is for Allah only. There is no one worthy of worship except Allah. And Allah is Great and there is no Power or Force except for Allah. May Allah Almighty forgive the sins of the us all.
