Trampling Modesty
Modesty is being trampled. As if funeral of modesty is taking place. This the Mercy of Allah Most High that he has not stopped our urination and defecation.

Second Hand Saying
Mufti Muhammed Usama said:
Nowadays Qari Amir Hasan Sahab(DB) is telling three things everywhere and with repetition-he'll repeat a single thing two or three times. He say that firstly we have stopped crying before Allah (SWT), secondly we have stopped consulting Allah(SWT) and thirdly we, in one way or other, are involved in usury based transactions.

Arzu Khan Sherwani
Brother Arzu is Hadhrat Masihullah Khan Sherwani Jalalabadi(RA)'s nephew. He occasionally visits Anona House. Today also he came during the Sitting (Majlis).
TSHS: Is it true that Hadhrat Jalalabadi(RA) was your elder uncle (Taya or tao in local dialect-not used by puritanical Urdu speakers)?
Arzu Sahab: Yes.
TSHS: Tell us something about him.
Arzu Sahab: I'll give you a book.
TSHS: That will be very nice but we'll want some verbal stories too!
Arzu Sahab: (Smiles)
TSHS: Somebody was mentioning a biography of Hadhrat Jalalabadi (RA) on Sunni Forum. Who has written it? Are you talking about that?
Arzu Sahab: I am talking about Sayings (malfoozat). And there is a biography that was written in Mewat. Another one by Ghayasuddin Sahab of Allahabad-an associate of Hadhrat. Then there is one that has been written in Pakistan.
TSHS: There is a brother who is an associate (mureed) of Mufti Nawal-ur-Rahman Sahab. He frequently talks about his Shaikh.
Arzu Khan: These are four brothers Jamal-Kamal-Nawal and I have forgotten the name of fourth brother-they got their education in Jalalabad.

Gems of the Day
By the Grace of Allah Most High two gems have been reported by two of our favourite blogs.
First one is from Noor of Nobility.
The second gem is of course from Ashrafia. This one too is very cute.
Hai Jano Muhabbat Agar Woh Khafa HoN
Gar Hum Bhi Khafa HoN To Muhabbat Nahi Hai
(Take it as love if he is angry
If I am angry then it's love lost)
So the anger and displeasure shown by the Shaikh(DB) in fact shows the presence of love. And if one detects that he is loved by a person like Mufti Taqi Usmani Sahab(DB) then lucky is the good characterization of such a soul.
The strange thing is that when a disciple (mureed) is being so loved every reader feels loved. strange are the ways of Allah(SWT).
First one is from Noor of Nobility.
Here Hazrat(db) means Maulana Mohammed Nabeel Ahmed Khan Sahib (DB). And this is a wonderful quotation. Actually confusions and doubts are the most debilitating things one can experience in life. Our Lord Most Merciful and Most Beneficent by His Grace reassures us in the beginning (after Fatiha) of the Holy Qur'an that you have no doubts that there is guidance for certain people. Our Masha-ikh make these things clear to us and above quote is such an example. Our modern life puts lots of doubts and confusion in our thinking and the solution is there in front of our eyes. Just develop reverence and love for people of Allah (in whatever way you can) and then you can not have confusions and doubts even if you want to have! Sub-han Allah.Avoiding Confusion & Doubts
September 21, 2011
Hazrat (db) said,
If two things are developed in an individual then all the doubts they have will leave.
1) Azmat (greatness/magnificence)
2) Muhabbat (love)
By questioning or by actual research, one does not solve anything. This just creates further doubts. The fact that doubts even develop in a person is a sign of the nonexistence of these two things. If a person doesn’t feel the greatness of what they are a part of, if we lack that love for our mashaa’ikh, then the only way to fix this is to develop these two things. And the way to do this is to be in the company of the ahle muhabbat. Once a person develops this azmat and muhabbat for everything, Hazrat Thanwi (rah) says that my experience tells me that a person, even if they want to, then they cannot find confusion or doubt.
The second gem is of course from Ashrafia. This one too is very cute.
Is This Islahi Ta’luq?
Posted on September 21, 2011
To get to the sweetness of the episode we have to remember a couplet:An individual approached sayyidi wa sanadi Shaikh Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani (Allah preserve him) with extreme reverence and admiration. After salutations were exchanged Shaikh inquired his purpose of visit. He replied that, ‘I have islahi ta’luq (relationship for self improvement) with you.’Shaikh looked at him sternly and said, ” I do not recognize you at all. What type of islahi ta’luq is this?Is this something playful?Whenever you feel like keeping in contact you decide to come and at other times you are absconding.I am sorry. I can not assit in such type of relationship. Please, excuse me. Now you can go. Find someone else who agrees to this type of relationship. ”Another such scenario occurred. However, the seeker (already a murid) admitted his mistake and asked for forgiveness. After admonsihing him Shaikh instructed,‘Attend the weekly majlis regularly. Meet me after the majlis. If you are regular and serious with this then I will consider giving you permission to restart this relationship.’Office, Darul Uloom, Karachi after duhar, 28th Ramadan 1432/ 29August 2011

Hakim-ul-Ummat(RA)'s Reverence for Haji Sahab(RA)
If someone tells me that Allah(SWT) has decided to wind up the sun and the stars and to recreate them for Haji Sahab (RA) then I'll not have even least bit of doubt about this news.

The Tough Guy
This is the story of a local tough guy. It has come earlier too in the Sitting(Majlis). The toughy was going to Delhi. En route there was a small town. There an old Maulvi and his wife had shop. The bamboo used buy him to erect a shade for the shop touched the car of the toughy. This was not acceptable to the toughy. He beat up the old man. "When my hands were tired I used my legs", he told the people later on. "I beat him up so much that blood came out of his mouth," he confided with others. Or may be boasted. Then after some time a little point-like boil appeared on his thigh. It never got cured-it took his life. Best physicians were consulted. And the best Tombs were visited-including a local Elder. Latter turned his face away from the toughy-not so tough any more. Toughy also visited the old Maulvi-to beg his pardon. Maulvi became silent. Original weight of the toughy was 84 kg. When he died his weight was 11 kg.
And the justice sometimes starts in this world itself.

Message from Amna
Amna Hasan reviewed Thus Spake Hazrat Shaikh on blogged. She rated us 9 on the scale from 1 to 10. What more could we ask for? Here is the review:
Amazing blog! Please change the background pink image because it doesn't suit the theme of your blog. You could keep the Watermark layout and style but the background image and color could be changed by the template designer! The rest is ABSOLUTELY GOLDEN! Mashallah! After playing with the lay out and design (and after initial fancy looks) we settled for the most conservative look. Unfortunately the background happened to be pink. Even when more template options from blogger became available it was realized that the present design is the most professional. Even then your suggestion has been noted and Insha Allah these things will be taken into account in next round of changes in the design.
