In Prayers we repeat God is Great (Allahu Akbar). Praise of Allah (Alhamdulillah) is a good thing but that can not be the substitute of declaration of greatness in Prayers. Similarly declaration of Purity (Sub-hanallah) too is a good thing but that too is not acceptable as a substitute for declaration of greatness. When we walk on a rising slope then again we declare God is Great. This reminds us that Greatness belongs to Allah Most High.
