During his sitting (majlis) a Shaikh got the news of the arrival of a Minister. The Shaikh went inside and came back after sometime. After the Minister had left the associates asked about his retiring to his chambers. The Shaikh told that if I would not have gone inside then it was incumbent upon me to get up to receive an honourable guest. That would have been alright but you remember that I did not get up when you came here. Thus my getting up to welcome him would have meant a devaluation of religion. Thus I retired to my chambers and came from there.
