The Other Guests

Apart from Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB) and Maulvi Abdul Haq Azmi Muhaddis there were two more pious guests present. One was Mufti Rashid of Darul Uloom, Deoband and another Syed Salman Nadwi (DB) from South Africa. The latter is son of the famous Scholar Syed Sulaiman Nadwi (RA). At the tea time there were few senior Jama-at functionaries also present. People were talking about Hakim Akhtar Sahab (DB) and the environment, in a way, was flooded with Light of Allah Almighty. Syed Salman Nadwi Sahab (DB) is a caliph of Hakim Akhtar Sahab (DB). Hazrat Shaikh (DB) introduced Syed Salman Nadwi sahab (DB) to Maulvi Abdul Haq Sahab (DB). Latter said that I had seen your father and I had heard him. Earlier, in a lighter vain, the Muhaddis said that his father (Salman Sahab's) was much more handsome then him. (It should be added that the honourable guest is very handsome.) The Muhaddis also said that you do not visit Darul Musannifin. "But I am just coming from there?", said Salman Sahab (DB). Darul Musannifin, now called the Shibli Academy, is the institution established by the teacher of Syed Sulaiman Nadwi (RA) , Maulana Shibli Numani (RA) in Azamgarh. At the tea time two guests belonging to Darul Uloom, Deoband were borrowed by the Jama-at contingent present there.

After tea Hazrat Shaikh (DB) deputed few associates to see Syed Salman Nadwi (DB) (not to be confused with equally illustrious Syed Salman Hasni Nadwi (DB)) off. After walking just a few steps the guest said that now you go back. The associates say that the Shaikh (DB) has given instructions to see you off. He said that there was no distance fixed by the Shaikh and therefore you go back. He showed the same humility in the last visit. In that visit he introduced himself to Hazrat Shaikh (DB) as an ordinary visitor-and son of Sulaiman Nadwi (RA).
