The first step in remembrance of Allah Most High. Invocation of the Pure Word (kalima-e-taiyyaba), the Asking for Forgiveness (astaghfar), the Peace and Blessings (darood shareef) any thing will do. Then do some recitation of the Holy Qura'n. Then you'll worry whether by recitation is proper or not.
