How to Attain Spiritual Condition?

Appropriate spiritual condition does not come because of excessive Remembrance of Allah(SWT). (It comes because of regularity.) That is why our Elders advise very small amount of Remembrance in the beginning. (After maintaining this minimal schedule for some time) when the appropriate spiritual condition is achieved then the seeker will himself be able to do higher amounts of remembrance.

The fact that problems of Ummah are increasing is because of the reason that we do not worry about earning pure sustenance. We indulge in breaching of trust. If you fail in an examination because of your adherence to fair means then this is the root to Jannah. If you pass by unfair means and breach of trust then that is the root to Hell.

Why They Disclose?

It is advisable for man (and woman) to appoint and assign some time to take stock of his (or her) actions. To keep in eye on himself (or herself). To keep auditing himself (herself). Clearly one day, after death, one has to leave this world. So what is it that we are going to take with us? Today we display our actions to world by saying words like, "Alhamdulillah today I recited ten parts (of the Noble Qur'an)". Now for whom you are doing these action He is All-Seeing and All-Hearing (and hence you do not have to make a show of it all). And if People of Allah(SWT) do disclose some of their actions then the purpose is that other people take admonition from their actions.
