Relation With Allah (SWT) in Times of Disease

It takes time to regain health after disease leaves. Even a fever of a day shakes up an elephant like body. Whatever precautions you take a disease that is coming will come. Whatever problem you have turn to Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) says, "I gave this slave a disease but he did not indulge in thanklessness". "I gave him health but he did not become haughty".

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) and Shah Wasiullah Sahab (RA)

This was common to Hazrat Thanwi and Shah Wasiullah Sahab (RA), I was present with latter, that they would not make their illness public. The point was that to how many you shall communicate once you have recovered. People will come for visiting, this would result in extra burden of work for they will have to be treated like guests.

The Trick, the Con

There are some people who can extract other people's disease. There is nothing miraculous in this act. Of course this is achieved with lots of hard work and struggle. This is common to believers as well as unbelievers. A nonbeliever gets his reward in this world itself.

Wrong Inclination

Today we are inclined towards materialistic things. Even a Ventilator (in medical emergency) will help only if there is a permission from Allah (SWT).

The Desert Saga

When you travel by your own vehicle even at the speeds of 120 or 130 you do not see civilization for hours. How fast can you travel with a camel? Even a short journey would take two weeks. This is the desert in which Companions (RA) sweated it out to spread the message of Islam.

Short Age, Long Deeds

Amongst Elders Khwaja Baqi Billah (RA) got very short age. But biggest of scholars of his time turned to him. Amongst scholars it was Maulana Abdul Hayi of Firangi Mahal who got only 39 years of age but he wrote about a hundred books. This is a fete that will survive till the end times. Lucknow had a French mansion that they sold. This is what is known as Firangi Mahal.

Way of Hazrat Umar (RA)

Hazrat Umar (RA) was making sounds of pain because of some ailment. A Companion (RA) remarked that you are so brave then why do you utter this sound. He (RA) said shouldn't he display his servitude to his Lord?

Affection from Our Lord Most High

Till there is injunction from Allah (SWT) the medicine has its nature (to cure). Allah (SWT) tell us to look up (to Him)- why do you look down, He (SWT) says.
