Calmness and Tranquility

Sitting (Majlis) time on Friday, December 30, 2011.
Tranquility just before the Sitting begins.
The tranquility that can be experienced only before the Sitting and only here.
Also some times the environment becomes very silent after the tea time.
This silence is very soothing and very rare too.
Never experienced before coming to the Sittings.
Nor seen at any other place too.
And all thanks are due to Allah Most High for such precious blessings.
May He continue these blessings at all those places where He is has already given them.
Accept O Lord merely by your unbound Mercy.

They Remember Excessively

(We) got this news that there is a person in Delhi who recites Darood Sharif two thousand times daily. There is a person in Madras (Chennai) whose routine is much more than this.

Prefering Non-Islamic Things

When there is an open permission from the university to wear Islamic dress but some chooses to wear other dresses then it only shows that this person prefers the attire of other people. (Qari Ilyas Sahab (DB))

(Sitting (Majlis) on Thursday, December 22, 2011)

Prophet (PBUH)'s Salam

 (Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB))
When beloved Prophet (PBUH) reached home in the night he'd present his Salam with such a voice that the people who were awake would answer it while the sleeping people will not be disturbed. (This is how he(PBUH) delivered the rights of the people in the family.) Hazrat Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dehlawi (RA) said that this much of love of the family members is necessary so that it induces you to deliver their rights. By presenting Salam to the people in the house one receives abundance (barkah). Barakah means that necessities are fulfilled with small amount of means. Lack of barakah is the state when you have to spend hundreds for a work that is worth tens only and thousands for a task that is worth hundreds only. Beloved Prophet (PBUH) used to present Salam even to the empty house.

The State of a Majzub

The people who are in the state of being Majzub have become engrossed in a single name of Allah(SWT) to such an extent that they are not aware of the world around them. Some people praise them to unnecessary heights. This is not an objective, the real objective is to act on Shariah.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

To Wail or Not to Wail

Noha is an Arabic word whose meaning is to express sorrow. It is not the same as wailing and breast beating. That is what some people take it to be.

One Following the Other

Remember your failings. When you remember them then you'll get ability and capability (taufeeq) to repent.

It is Conditional

Faithful have been given the glad tidings but some conditions have been imposed with this like abstinence from useless talk and implementation of Prayers.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Unnecessary Uproar

There too much of controversy being created about Wasila ( giving reference in Supplications). People scream that this will lead to polytheism and all that.  This indicates that these people do not have the requisite knowledge.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Friendship of Allah (SWT)

Go to the people of Allah(SWT) and ask them that you want make friendship with Allah(SWT). They will tell you what to do. What to adopt and what to leave.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Remembrance and Sunnah

Indulge in Remembrance of Allah (SWT) according to Sunnah.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Closer and Closer

How to be achieve closeness to Allah(SWT)? Meet His special people - His friends. These are the pious and God fearing(muttaqi). These are the one's who are called His Friends. A person who is God fearing is also His Friend and very one of His Friends is God fearing.

Long Winding and Useless

How to be Close to Allah(SWT)?

By remembering the Prophets(AS) you become closer to Allah (SWT). Among all the Prophets(AS) beloved Prophet (PBUH) is the last one his remembrance too increases closeness to Allah(SWT). To this end recite Darood in abundance. Today our tongues are busy in useless talk. We indulge in lying and back biting. So much so that man stoops down to plain abusive words.

Audit of Days Work

In the morning as well as in the evening make an audit of your actions. Ask yourself for whom each and every task has been performed. Today all of our actions are transpired in our lust for this world.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Thank You Readers

At the tea time after the Sitting (Majlis) Hazrat Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB) who has arrived at Anona House yesterday inquired as to who is Maripat.
Hazrat Shaikh Hakim Muhammed Kalimullah Sahab (DB) pointed out to your humble correspondent and also remarked that the elders had talked about this sinner in the Sittings (Majalis).
Since the elders have just returned from Haj it was a rather overwhelming news for yours truly. The obvious reason might have been this reporting of the the sayings of these elders and in all probability some you dear readers might have mentioned to Qari Sahab (DB). Hazrat Shaikh (DB) has been aware about this activity, in deed it was started with permission, but there was no reason to communicate it to Hazrat Qari Sahab (DB) for in deference to Hazrat Shaikh (DB) he speaks very few words. Anyway now that some one or others of you have brought it to his notice and he looks at it with love yours truly feels as if these meager attempts have been accepted by Allah(SWT). May He provide abundance in His blessings in this regard and in other things too. May Allah(SWT) grant you too a reward according to His Glory. Supplications for continued acceptance as well as ability to continue the work are requested from the core of heart.

Thirteen Rounds

This consists of 200 hundred recitations of Negation-Affirmation (Negation=Laa ilaha, Affirmation=illallah). This cleans the heart of undesirable affiliations to other than Allah(SWT). Then there are 400 Affirmations. This infuses the heart with closeness to Allah(SWT). Further fortification is done by double Personal Name (Allahu Allah) done 600 times. The round is concluded with praise using Personal Name (Allah) that is done a 100 times. This makes the total 13 rounds of Remembrance.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Closeness by Proxy

A person close to Prophets(AS) is close to Allah(SWT).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Mistakes by Seniors

An elder found a mistake in an article that his Shaikh gave him for reading. This disciple did not assert that there is some thing wrong in the narration. He said that Hazrat I can not figure a certain word and will you be so kind to identify it. The Shaikh realized the mistake and rephrased his statement and all got sorted out without any fuss. Thus one needs wisdom to affect correction in people.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011)

Mistake and Apology

There was this incidence of a person writing in favour of a deviant ideology. This type of events do take place. Man is fully prone to commit mistakes. When it was pointed out to him that this is not the right thing to do then he accepted his mistake and tendered an apology, repented and refreshed his old connection and returned to the old path. This is commendable. This really pleased the heart. He did not try to fuzz the situation by lame excuses. The trick is to consult a Mufti before you publish anything. The truth about a mistake is that if it is done publicly then the apology too must be public while a mistake done privately is written off with a private repentance itself.

The caution time for the Fajr Prayers (to avoid praying during sun rise) for the common folks is twenty minutes. For the educated people it is ten minutes in summer and twelve in winter.

About Knowledge

Allah(SWT) himself has asked us to supplicate to Him for knowledge. Go to the people of Allah-they will tell you how to do that. Though they have small amount of knowledge but their action (upon their knowledge of Islam) is more.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, July 6, 2011)

A Few Short Instructions

You at least make Supplications to your Lord. Show your humility. Do not show your arrogance or rebellion. Whenever a crisis confronts you then immediately turn to Allah(SWT). Our actions are of low quality, broken type. And our knowledge itself can be snatched by Him in a moment. (We must not rely upon our actions and knowledge but His Mercy.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, July 6, 2011)

I'll Climb the Mountain

A slave's duty is to be obedient and submissive. He should not get bent upon rebellion. Hazrat Nooh (AS) called his son but he refused and said that he'll climb the mountain. Even today mind gets dizzy at the houses made by those people. (Who were destroyed for their intransigence and rebellion.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, July 13, 2011)

The Return of the Deluge

(Once again excessive rain disturbed the routine of life last night.) As soon as it was known (that water is flooding the rooms in Hazrat Shaikh's house) there were some young men, they got busy in flushing it out. At the same time supplications were also started (by Hazrat Shaikh (DB)).

Sources of Illness

(Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB))
There are only two sources of illness. Stomach and mind. Mind gets sick by watching TV. When the females of the family will watch unlawful men then it will lead to reduction in modesty.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, July 13, 2011)

PS: A girl was over heard telling his brother that a particular hero was looking very handsome. May Allah(SWT) protect every believing man and woman from obscenity.

Redundant Physician

(Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB))
A king sent a physician to beloved Prophet (PBUH) to serve the Muslims. He lived for one year in Madinah but no one fell ill in that duration. He asked the reason for this. Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said that the people of this place do not sit down to eat till they are very hungry and they get before completely filling their belly. The physician said that there is no need for a physician to such people. (May Allah(SWT) be well pleased with them.)

Dragging the Masha-ikh

The Nawab, the Governor

Nawab Chhatari was the Governor of the most populous state of India. He went to meet Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)). The Siiting (Majlis) by Hazrat Wala was under progress. Nawab Sahab left the official paraphernalia behind and sat in the shoes of the attendees since there was no empty space available. Soon Hazrat Wala's sight fell on Nawab Sahab and he called him to sit beside him. This was the humility Nawab Sahab had. Today we introduce ourselves with distinctions attached like I am a Caliph of that Shaikh. This is self-praise and vanity.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Wednesday, July 13, 2011)

Mine and Yours Untruely

Hazrat Muhammed Ahmed Pratpgarhi (RA) used to say about Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) that my disciple is his disciple and his disciple is my disciple. Today even in matters of deen there is Party system. The way there is only one father but there may be many uncles similarly in religion you have only one Shaikh but there might be many other elders who are like uncles.

Miserable Progress

In around six months of 2010AC about fourteen hundred items were reported. In twelve months of 2011AC about half that many shall be reported, IA. This will look like miserable progress which it is. But it was promised last year that those who find the pace of material appearing here a bit fast should rest assured that soon the speed will slow down. Unfortunately that is what has happened. Unfortunately because there is lots of material that has not appeared but should appear. So kindly keep supplicating.

There was a person who came to visit. He is a good scholar but in his life his father did not employ him in his Seminary (Madarsa). Similarly  Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA) did not employ his only son in his Seminary (Madarsa). Today we do not have the right religious spirit. Father establishes the Seminary (Madarsa) and the son takes over after his death.

Ninth Generation

An elder became happy with a person and asked him what should be the prayers and blessings for him. Latter person asked for knowledge in the family. The Elder prayed for this. This was related to me by (pointing to a visitor from Purkazi village in district Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh in India) his father. Travelers of Hereafter

Do we recite the first Kalima?
Do we indulge in Asking for Forgiveness (Astaghfaar)?
Do we recite Surah Yaseen?
Do we recite Surah Mulk?
This is an indication whether we are preparing for the hereafter or not.

Focus on Modern Education

There is so much of emphasis on modern secular education that everybody is going forward on that path only. Just imagine about its end result. After retirement this all becomes null and void. Just think this way that if you get even a very long life then it will be perhaps hundred years. (This education will not serve you beyond that.)

Objective of Interaction

The only objective of Interaction (Sulook) is that good etiquette be cultivated and bad etiquette be cleaned up.

PS: Everybody would like to be forgiven on the Judgment day. Moreover everybody would like to pass with flying colours on that day. Obviously that will be possible only if you are able to present some thing very good on the day. Beloved Prophet(PBUH) said that the best thing one can present that day in his (or her favour) is a good etiquette. Some unfortunate people keep raising objection to Sulook. In reality they do not know what they are missing and what injustice they are doing to themselves.

Today we do not read those books that help in refining our etiquette. If we do read something then these are novels and stories. It is like making a hole in the same pot in which we are having our meal. (An Indian proverb)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday, September 6, 2011)

A Point to Ponder

Ponder over it that which etiquette pleases Allah(SWT) and which displeases Him.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday, September 6, 2011)

Sneaking Waywardness

Today waywardness is sneaking into our life. There are uncountable blessings of Allah(SWT) but we are turning into rebels.

Even Natural Acts

The running topic is about Character (akhlaq) and Sincerity (ikhlas). Whatever work you do it should be for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). If you are drinking cold water than do so for his pleasure. And then thank Him. Same about good food.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday, September 6, 2011)

A Caution in the Path

If there is weakness in your relationship (with your Shaikh) then you are destined to go astray.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

Receiving Curses

We go to mosques and receive curses from the angels. This is because we talk of worldly things in the mosque.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

The Clean Up

Indulge in excessive remembrance of Allah(SWT) Act upon Sunnah. In few days your heart will get cleansed.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

A Problem of Complete Generation

A problem of the Complete Generation (Ummat-e-Muslima) is that shamelessness in becoming endemic.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

Wasting Children

There is another thing that is taking place-abortion. This is because impious earnings are being fed to our stomachs by us. We are not paying attention to earning our livelihood by pious means.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

Leave Them Alone

People say that do not indulge in too much tweaking. The result is that the whole Generation (Ummah) is going down.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

About Internet

Internet has come. Chatting is under progress. Shamelessness is becoming common. The reason behind this is that there is no sense of presence of Allah(SWT) in our hearts.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

Civilizing Our Baser Self

Our Baser Self (nafs-e-ammarah) is by our side. To get it civilized we have to adopt the company of the pious people.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

Watching Photo Albums

There another disease that is becoming common now a days. It is to watch photographs. Remember if it is forbidden to watch the original then it is forbidden to watch its image.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

The Root Cause

It is eye that sees for the first time (triggering the chain that leads to other sins, minor or major.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday, September 5, 2011)

A Muhi-us-Sunnah(RA) Act

Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) used collect the employees every yaer and used to say that a am the manager of this institution and in this capacity if I have said any thing strong then the objective must have been just Correction (Islah) but even than I am begging your pardon, please forgive me.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Changed Times in Teaching

A professor said that there were times when teachers were respected but the times have changed now. Now a teacher has to respect his students. Some times you get hear the comments that I went to this former teacher but did not show any appreciation of me.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Curious Knowledge

In the name of knowledge people have written tomes but in the name of action they are really blank.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Taking Care of Tongue

Do not utter any thing from your tongue for which you'll later regret.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

A Distinction of People of Allah

Sight of People of Allah is towards Allah. From Prophets(AS) to Friends of Allah everybody will be found in a state on contentment including their family. Same is true for their successors. Indulgence in this world leads to decay of fear of Allah.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Practicing Speech

Now days even making speech is practiced. This is not desirable. The object is to communicate your thing even if the words are not the most polished ones.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

An Acceptable Distinction

Common populace is different and the close company is different. Those who are in the close company they are questioned more closely. This is what used to happen in the company of  Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Try for This

This should be firmly embedded in our heart that one we shall be presented before Allah Most Exalted.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Changing Scenario

Earlier People of Allah used to be in the Consultative Body (Shoorah). Today you can get a Fatwah of your liking. Allah(SWT) gets very angry at such a state of affairs.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Wasting a Treasure

We gather knowledge but do not act upon it. This is like chopping your own feet.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Route to Peace

Let your speech be soft. Spread Salam. This will lead to peace and tranquility.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Route to Damage Control

If (bad, wrong, strong, inappropriate) words escape your mouth then get busy with Asking for Forgiveness (Astaghfar) for the words are not going to come back.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Topsy Turvy Priorities

Today we bow to the creation not before the Creator. We expect from the creation.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

A Book Recommended

There is whole procedure to acquire good Character. Imam Ghazali (RA) has written a journal on this (translated in to Urdu as ) Tabligh-e-Deen. Hazrat Thanwi (RA) advised Hazrat Sulaiman Nadwi(RA) and Mufti Muhammed Shafi Sahab(RA) to read this book.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Reason Behind Wrong Decisions

Why do we not indulge in moderation in the acquisition worldly things? The reason is simple we have given preference to this world over hereafter.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Missing The Optional Prayers

Today even the People of Knowledge are not performing the Tahajjud Salah.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

An Example of Intention

Why do we memorize the Holy Qur'an? Because we have its respect in our hearts. It is not a good intention to memorize the Holy Qur'an so that you'll get money by reciting it in Taraweeh.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Tuesday September 13, 2011)

Recipe for Elevation

The running topic concerns Charcter (akhlaq) and Sincerity (ikhlas). Those who'll cultivate good character they'll achieve high levels. For this it is necessary to have a guide. However great a physician is he searches another physician for his own treatment.

The Seven Levels of Hell

(1) Lowest: Hawia (For hypocrites, Firaun and his collaborators)
(2) Above Hawia : Jahim (For Polytheists)
(3) Above Jahim: Saqar (For sabians)
(4) Above Saqar : Nati'ee (For Iblees and his followers)
(5) Above Nati'ee : Hutma (For the Jewish people)
(6) Above Hutma : Sa'eer (For Christians)
(7) Above Sa'eer : Jahannum (For sinner Muslims)

The Bridge will be established above Jahannum.

A Direct Instruction

The people who attend the Sittings (Majalis)  they should particularly worry about their character.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Like Eating Metallic Grains

Acting upon the Doctrine is like eating metallic grains (a very tough task).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Be Careful About Your Speech

Once Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) were taking tea. It so happened that person made faces. This resulted in change in facial expression of Hazrat Wala (RA). Soon the face of this person had paralytic effect. He later on requested for forgiveness and for supplications. Hazrat Wala (RA) did that and this person recovered to some extant.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Public Contract

Once you have taken Pledge on Shaikh's hand then the whole Sitting (Majlis) has become witness to it.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

The Most Useful Certificate

In the field of Badr the Companions (RA) had got the message regarding Allah(SWT) being pleased with them.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Very Progressive, Educated and Modern

Amongst them is the recent trend that people say anything about the Companions (RA). One should wary of one's speech in this matter.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Loss and Loss

Knowledge, action and sustenance all are leaving house. The reasoning is that we do not have control over our tongue. Disciple is beating up the teacher.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Dirty Thing

Amongst them is Divorce. People did not like to utter this word. If some one used this word then people will refer to it by saying that this particular person has used a weak word.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Treatment of Disease

A scholar asked that if I end up doing some wrong thing then what should  I do? It was told to him that give some gift, do some cajoling and at the feet side of your bed have a visible  banner  saying ,"I have the disease of anger." This scholar forced his Baser Self to act upon this advice. After that the house that was like hell turned into a pleasant place.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Family and Social Precaution

Indulge in scolding but to a limit only.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Another Reality Check

Problems inside Ummah are increasing, children, wives are revolting.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Divine Threat

Allah(SWT) has said at two places that if We wanted We would have destroyed their eyesight.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Companios (RA) and Will of Allah (SWT)

Companions were very small in number but at the end only that happened whatever was willed by Allah (SWT).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Solution to Character Problem

Character gets reformed in the company of the pious people.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Two Major Sins

To attach some one's reputation and honour and to say bad words about some one are both major sins.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Lack of Tolerance

Today if wife makes even a little bit of mistake argument breaks out. We end up calling names.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Edibles and Gifts

Swallow pain, swallow anger and feed sweat things.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Empty Itellectual Enterprize

About a similar philosopher a Shaikh remarked that he does not have character. This philosopher wrote a thorough treatise on character. When the news reached the Shaikh he said that I did not say that he does not know about character, I only said that he does not possess it.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

A Common Source of Pride

People studying philosophy very often fall into pride. One such philosopher went to a Shaikh. He said many things and the Shaikh kept listening. At the end the Shaikh said jut one thing, "You are an ignoramus." Hearing this the philosopher became all fire and fury. Shaikh politely asked him, "Have I hit you physically?" I have only said a few words. If this is the character of a man's speech that you completely got off the handle then just imagine the power the speech of Allah (SWT).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Sunday September 11, 2011)

Forgiveness From Wife

What? I should ask my wife for forgiving me? If one reacts in this way then this betrays pride (kibr).

Degrading Your Wife

Nowadays this disease is becoming rather common that people degrade their wife.

(Tea Time on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Blaming a Woman

The gravest blame was hurled at Hazrat Ayesha (RA). Immediately a Verse was revealed and for all times to come there was the rule laid out that if you accuse anybody of indecency then bring four witness.

(Tea Time on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Wife as a Servant

Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) used to say that wife is not a servant or a slave. She is the beloved. And to give an example he used to ask whether Layla was subservient or Majnoon.

(Tea Time on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Mode to Inculcate Value of Time

Go to the people of Allah(SWT)-you shall learn how to value time.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Value Your Time

Do not waste the time that has been allotted to you because the time that has passed is not going to come back.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Adopt Fear of Allah

Adopt fear of Allah(SWT). Think in this way that whatever mistakes I have committed they are not going to undone, I can only repent.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Attendance of Another Wali

There was another elder (a frioend of Allah(SWT)). After reaching the Masjid-e-Nabawi he'll sit in a unobtrusive corner not sure of the propriety of his presence in that high office.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Attendance of a Wali

I saw it myself that whenever Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) used to go to present his Salam (to beloved Prophet(PBUH)) then his face would turn pale (out of fear of committing any act of disrespect).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Not So Hidden Admonition

Those who have premonitions (kashf) they some times can tell when somebody presented Salam (to beloved Prophet(PBUH)) and face was turned away from that side.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

PS: Context is the habit of people being physically in Haram and emotionally at other place via mobile or other means.

Missing Etiquette in Haram

Today we make ourselves present in Haram Shareef but we do not show much respect to that places.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Causes Behind Calamity

Today trust is being betrayed repeatedly. We indulge in usurping others trust. Why else is the wrath of Allah(SWT) descending on us?

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Against a Pious Caliph

A Shia made a remark about the pious caliphs that their names are rather rare. Hearing this a man of Allah took a pledge from the people known to him that if they get a male child then they'll name him either Umar or Abu Bakr. This action is needed in our country too.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

Rampant Back Biting

Back biting is becoming too common. Tongue is being used for bad actions. What is the benefit of that?

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

The Ever Changing Feelings

There are changes in man's heart. That is very common. The internal state keeps changing. Some times the state is pleasant and some times not. Some times the feelings inside our heart are according to our taste some times these are not.  You are sitting and your mood is happy but some one makes a single statement and your mood is completely destroyed. The reverse too happens. This is how Allah (SWT) tests us that which people resort to patience and steadfastness and which indulge in complaining.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday September 10, 2011)

The Oft Repeated Quartet

Nearly ever Sitting(Majlis) ends with following four instructions. (These are not repeated in the reporting.)
(1) Indulge in excessive Remembrance of Allah(SWT) particularly Asking for Forgiveness (astaghfar).
(2) Recitation of Holy Qur'an-with proper pronunciation
(3) Avoid sins
(4) Keep in touch with the people of Allah(SWT).

The Girl from Lucknow

A Qadiyani  girl from around Lucknow became Muslim. Her father beat her up rather severely but she did not relent.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Sort of Irony

Others are coming to Islam but we are destroying our faith by being apostates (like Qadiyanis). This is a matter of shame.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Horror of Deviation

Today people are turning towards Qadiyanism. Faith is getting destroyed. These are the people whose faces get distorted (at the time of death).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

PS: It was learned at tea time that there were two people in the Sitting (Majlis) who had gone over to Qadiyanism and were brought back to Islam with difficulty.

Metaphor for Disbelief

To adopt disbelief is like consuming filth knowingly.

Pious Livelihooh

A Devious Trick

(WE) got to travel to Kashmir recently. (This story was heard there.) A padre came there and he converted people to Christianity. After that is collected these deviated people and asked them to stand on a copy of the Holy Qur'an. (May Allah(SWT) grant protection.) One of the people present there silently sneaked out.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Confession of a Former Atheist

There is an educated person. Now he has repented from disbelief. He says that life is now very peaceful. And what about us? In spite of being believers we get trapped by Qadiyanism. Mufti Khwaja Masoom Sahab is a fine scholar (who takes on such people.) He does not get angry. many people have repented because of him.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Why Trials Occur?

Allah(SWT) says that if you make claims of my friendship then I'll try you. That is why I say that obey him and obey him only.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

A Protection Tool

Why did Prophet (PBUH) warned? Be it Christianity or Qadiyanis they both attract people by monetary bait. Indulge in Asking for Forgiveness in abundance. Abundance of the Pure Word (Kalima-e-Taiyyaba) pulls you towards righteousness. (And hence will be a protection against the machinations of above people.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

What is the Straight Path?

What is the straight path? This is the path of the prophets (AS), truthful, martyrs and the pious. Any one denying this is out of the fold of faith and belief. Qadiyanis have written such books that even intelligent people are left surprised. Shias too are like them. Somehow we do not pay too much attention to this fact. but they too are similar. What is forbidden for us they have allowed that for themselves.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Surrepticious Sabotage

Marriage proposal of a person's daughter was fixed. Later on it came to be known that the boy's family is Qadiyani. Inquiry with scholars revealed that this marriage is not allowed.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Leaving the Doctrine Behind

Why is the whole Complete Generation (Ummat-e-Muslima) is doldrums? Because we have strayed away from the Doctrine (Shariah).

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Wasting Faith

(We) got guidance, its light. Then (we) are wasting this treasure. Whatever we have got from our beloved Prophet (PBUH) we have to accept that with no reservation.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Assault on Faith

Money is being distributed all over the world. Protecting your faith and belief is becoming more and more difficult by the day. All over the world enemies of Islam are destroying people's faith by means of meager sums of money.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

For Deep Rooted Faith

Elements of faith (aqa-id) should be memorized by the children.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Presence or Lack of Belief

There is another thing-the beliefs (aqa-id). Beliefs (aqa-id) means to accept as it is. If some one denies even a single one of them then that person is not a believer. Person might be indulging in Fasting and Prayers but faith is actually absent from the heart of that person. This will become apparent on the Judgment Day.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

Completeness of Belief

The current running topic concerns Character (akhlaq) and Sincerity(ikhlas). If a person does not have them then he is not a complete believer.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

About a Guest

Where is Aijaz Sahab?

(Sitting (Majlis) on Monday October 17, 2011)

(This does not tell us much by way of admonition-till we include the background. The Sitting (Majlis) in Anona House is a daily routine after Asr till Maghrib. Guests, who mostly come to meet Hazrat Shaikh (DB), are quite frequent and many. Some are very regular. Some of them come weekly-from nearby places. There are some who try to make their monthly visits. Some make yearly visits. In deed for some it might be just a single visit. Some of them have in the mind that they have come to visit an elder and his Majlis is an inner affair and it will be audacious to intrude into it. Such people will be curious about the Majlis but will not come to it. In reality the Majlis is open for all seekers. Thus sometimes Hazrat Shaikh(DB) will ask the helpers to remind a particular guest to come to the Majlis. Above particular guest was very dignified one but other details about him have escaped our notice.)

Strange State of Affairs

People utter phrases like, "O these Mullas! They have nothing else to do".

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Focus of Worries

Think about yourself in solitude and ponder about your fate in public.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Volatile Money

A great Elder was brought up by another man of Allah (SWT). The financial condition of latter was not very good. Sometimes money was ample but many times it was penury.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Matter of Tack

A person wrote to Hazrat Thanwi (RA) that I was in Pledge with that particular Shaikh (name of a Shaikh). Now he is no more and I want to enter a Pledge with you. Hazrat (RA) wrote to him that you have been following a particular Tack (Maslak) (that must have been different from Hazrat Thanwi (RA)'s tack) therefore you are not accepted for Pledge. He wrote back that Hazrat till I was with him I followed his tack. Now after coming to you I shall completely follow your tack.

Different Injunctions for Different Times

There is a rule that if the situation is changed then the injunction too is changed. This is not a deviation but an injunction of the Doctrine (Shariah).

There is temporary colour and there is permanent. The temporary colour disappears after some time-not the permanent colour.

The One Who Sketches Living Beings

Why is there curse on the artist? (Because it is a grave sin.) Today parents and grandparents are collected with children and grand children and photographs are being taken. People are entering sins. Remember protecting yourself from sin is an obligation.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Limitations of Theory

The people of knowledge might explain a point very lucidly but it is not necessary that they will also be practitioner of the said thing. Many times the case is such that their speech is mere rhetoric.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Wont Look Up

There was an elder of Deoband who would not look up while talking to people. Somebody asked as to how he managed life (with this self imposed restriction)? He said that if the person is known to me then there is no problem because I am talking to him with tongue while the hands are busy doing their work. On the other hand if it is an unknown person then there is no benefit in looking at him.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Sensitivity of Hakim-ul-Ummah (RA)

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) could not stand the sight of other people's stomach. (It is supposed to remain covered.) If he accidentally saw somebody's abdomen then he threw up. Similarly Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) was a born Friend (Wali of Allah). It these people who's followers we claim to be.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Boys and Girls

What is it in which the modern generation involved? Watching films and the like. Now it is there on the mobile itself. Boys and girl come (for consultation). I ask them whether they watch TV. The answer is always in the affirmative. Everyday people come and tell that though my daughter prays five times but she also watches television. Now let us get it clear-either you take Religion (deen) or this world. (Unfortunately) people leave out religion and take up this world.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

God's Affection

Allah (SWT) says that you have claim to being my friend but you indulge in sins. Remember even a single sin is sufficient to waste the brightness (shining, light, noor) of obedience. If a person commits a sin and is not repenting then it is like a black spot and disappearance of light.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

Loss and Gain Puzzle

Whatever abundance was there in the Remembrance of Allah (SWT) we drown it by committing sins. ((1) And then we wonder about lack of abundance in our life. (2) On the face of it the observation might sound trivial but the reality is quite far from it. By the passage of time Allah(SWT) has made Seeking, Traveling, Sulook, Tasawwuf more and more easy for we weaklings. Our Masha-ikh now put all the emphasis on giving up sins and adopting Sunnah. Thus all that was known about Tasawwuf is being slowly cast into the frame of this simple paradigm to make the things easy for us.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Saturday October 15, 2011)

What to Ask for in the Morning?

The current topic (of Sitting (Majlis)) concerns Character (akhlaq). When you get get up in the morning then what should you ask your Lord for? It is for good character that you should supplicate for. Supplicate for well being. Supplicate for abundance. In the corresponding Supplication (in Arabic) the word today is used. Therefore this supplication is a sort of strong fortress that a believer enters by making above supplication.

Matter of Caution

There was a marriage in the house of a big businessman of Muradabad. Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)) sent Qari Sahab (DB) one day in advance to check whether the arrangements are proper (according to Sunnah) or not.

(Tea Time on Friday October 7, 2011)

Muhi-us-Sunnah (RA) and Hazrat Shaikh (DB)

Even I was once caught by Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA)). He said why did Kaleem Miyan participate in a marriage which had sixty people in the marriage party (baraat)? The people who are close to the Shaikh are dealt with more strictly.

(Tea Time on Friday October 7, 2011)

Means and Supplications

You applied to the Collector but for got to supplicate to Allah (SWT). As a result Allah (SWT) too forget you and the officer ignores you.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

The Bumps in the Journey

For the problems you are facing in maintaining Remembrance (zikr, dhikr) indulge in asking for Forgiveness to overcome that. Make an audit of your self and check whether you are indulging in some sin.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

A Subtle Point

In the after meal supplication there is phrase that refers to we being Muslims. It means that Allah (SWT) fed us after making us His beloved!

Effects of Visiting the Friends of Allah

Many companions were Bedouins. Beloved Prophet (PBUH) taught them etiquette. If you keep visiting the people of Allah (SWT) regularly then there is high expectation of your self correction taking place.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

See For Yourself

Learn the Religion (Deen) and act upon it. Then see for yourself how Allah (SWT) makes you shine.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Surreptitious People

Qari Sahab (DB) says that to enter Shaikh's chamber silently is a mistake. He (Qari Sahab (DB)) some times returns such people back.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

It Is Easy

Just make your resolve to act upon Sunnah. It is not a difficult thing.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

A Bad Bargain

If you trample one Sunnah then ten calamities will will try to overwhelm you.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Why Do We Do It?

Why our beloved Prophet (PBUH) has expressly said that do not participate in any activity where objectionable (munker) things are taking place then why do we indulge in such things?

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Cause of Fickle Mindedness

We are not firm in our resolutions because we are not firm in our hearts. (We lack Sure Faith (yaqeen) about Islam in our hearts.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

A Distinction

Information (about marriage and other auspicious occasion ) is one thing (means it is the right and halal thing to do) but getting (lavish) cards printed for this purpose is squandering.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Forgetting Their Path

Hazrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Abrar-ul-Haq sahab (RA)) showed by acting thoroughly upon Sunnah. Today our condition is such that people will confuse us for Jewish people and Christians.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Wrong Inclination

When some consideration for Sunnah is made (by the people of Allah (SWT)) then the laity says that these are rather finicky Maulwis.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Ba Auliya Hoshiyar

Do not tease any friend of Allah (SWT). This is equivalent to inviting God's wrath. People use phrases like these mullas. (This is very foolish and dangerous.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

PS: Ba=With
Auliya=Friends of Allah (SWT)
Hoshiayar=Be Careful

Have a Firm Intention

(In the context of withdrawing from the events that are against the Doctrine (Shariah).) Have a firm intention-after that other things become easy. In marriages we eat while strolling-like animals. The result? Marriages last only a few months. Very soon they reach the stage of divorce.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Progressive Burial

Even funeral of Muslims is turning against Sunnah. A person said that he has stopped going to funerals. Cemetery is place to receive admonitions but even there you now here only back biting. The dead body is infrom of the people and they are busy talking about this world. (Even death does not remind them them of hereafter or even their own pending death.)

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Many and Few

By numbers we are many but by deeds are are very few.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday October 7, 2011)

Crime and Punishment

The tears of a place were not dry and the other one started. (The reference is to violent social troubles hitting one location after another.) Why? When troubles increase they do to such a level, such storms are generated that even the mountain like trees are uprooted. Shamelessness is becoming common-be it man or woman. There are benefits both in mobile and internet but now the harms have become more. Whole of the Ummah is walking on the footsteps of Jewish and Christian communities. There is a claim to love of Rasoolallah (PBUH) but the actions are openly against the Doctrine (Shariah).

(Jazakallah Khiran Katheerah to Dr Hanif Kamal Sahab (DB) and Mufti Muhammed Usama Sallamahu for their respective nudges.)

Apologies

Some readers, who are using the block-the-picture option in their browsers, have been suffering for long because of the background of the template. After picture blocking the background was becoming obnoxious red. Originally it was a soothing pink. The template has been changed so that they get the well deserved respite.

In the Royal Court

Allah (SWT)'s Court is the most royal of all courts.
Hazrat Shaikh(DB) is on Haj tour.
And how shall it feel to be there?
Only he can tell.
May Allah(SWT) give us sinners too the inclination, the ability, the capability, the opportunity and the capacity to perform the journey of love.

Venn Diagram

Venn diagram is simple but very powerful drawing in the branch of mathematics called set theory. For example following diagram shows the situation concerning the fields of your concern and the fields of your influence. You are effected by much more people than the number of people you can effect.

Eerie Feeling

Today's Sitting (Majlis) was focused on Qadianism. At the tea time, after most of the guests were gone, Hazrat Shaikh(DB) reminded that three of the guests were those who had gone over to Qadianism. (They are back by the Grace of Allah Most High.)

The Nature of This World

The nature of this world is such that you feel suffocation (zulmat, darkness) the moment you step out into it.

Guests and Guests

Delhi and Agra associates usually take the Sunday opportunity, when they are free from their worldly affairs, to come to Anona House. Their eagerness is so inspiring. And both of these groups have shining, luster, radiance of their own as has been reported more than once here. Both of these groups were present yesterday and the Sitting (Majlis) was crowded. Mosque was even more crowded for there was a Jama-at (together with ladies) also present. Then there was a supplicant also who, as it turned out, wanted admission for his ward in some Madarsa.  The way he was talking on his mobile was enough to get him an instruction to talk less loudly. And there was yet one more person who most probably would have got marching orders if his mobile conversation would have fallen of Shaikh (DB)'s ears. Lucky guy.

At Ahuja Eye Center

Dr Ahuja is famous eye specialist in Aligarh. Immediately after Maghrib prayers Hazrat Shaikh (DB) left for eye check up at Ahuja Eye Center. Advocate Muhammed Yusuf had asked this sinner to come to this clinic and after reaching physicians chamber the scene unfolded as follows-starting a series of admonitions. A man was arguing with Dr Ahuja and it turned out that at the turn of this man' patient, most probably his mother, a significant police officer barged into doctors chamber. After that officer's patient doctor had called Hazrat Shaikh(DB) inside for there was an appointment made three days in advance. But the physician came to realize that this man had a point. Thus he asked Hazrat Shaikh(DB) to wait for few minutes. Doctor also narrated the story of police officer's behaviour. He had come without appointment and he had not got his consultation slip prepared. He is a police officer after all. Doctor had asked his assistant to communicate that if there is a legal trouble for him (the doctor) then it is hoped that the officer will not demand a bribe. Doctor felt that it does not work this way that he want relaxation during consultation as well as bribe in case of problems involving police. Before the assistant could go out of the room the police officer barged into the consultation room. The physician argued to the haggling patient whose turn was eaten up by the officer that it would not have been nice to turn the person out. Doctor checked up this patient with utmost care and he was making a small talk also. He said that patient has become very low in us Indians. When it was Hazrat Shaikh (DB)'s turn finally he asked whether Hazrat too faces the same problem. Hazrat said that this is the constant problem. In the mean while the doctor also had said that I am asking you to wait with utmost etiquette. Then he sent Hazrat to another room where a young technician will perform the refraction measurements. This is the spectacle measurement. The technician looked at the present spectacles and asked how old these are. He was surprise to know that these were three years old. These have been treated to well, he said. (Bahut sanbhal ke rakha hai!) After all the permutations and combination the technician decide against any change in the spectacle numbers. When the troupe is back to Physicians' room it was realized that one measurement was still missing but the corresponding machine was there in that room itself. This was done by another technician who was, like the other one, quite efficient. According to the boards outside this clinic has ISO 9001 type of certificates. While waiting Hazrat Shaikh(DB) said to this sinner that the whole technical background of this field is your topic, that is, optics but by now I have forgotten that. Hazrat Shaikh (DB) also introduced the sinner to the physician who was polite to receive the introduction. Then he saw Hazrat Shaikh(DB) off to the gate of the consulting room. He said that Hakeem Sahab I should have seen you at your home but I can not take these machines with me. This sinner could not resist the question that was coming to the tip of the tongue. Was it Dr Ahuja who is mentioned for his visit to Saharanpur and to whom Hazrat Shaikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Zakaria (RA) used to come for consultation? It was Hazrat Shaik (DB) who replied and told that it was Dr V.N.Shukla father of Dr Manoj Shukla. Both of these are no more and Hazrat Shaikh (DB) was surprise to know that even Dr Manoj Shukla expired a month or so back. He had kidney problem and was surviving with a kidney transplant from his mother. A sadness engulfed the environment. Finally, after Hazrat Shaikh (DB) had moved a few steps away, Dr Masood Ahmed whispers to the physician hoping that there was nothing serious. Dr Ahuja knows Dr Masood Ahmed being an old acquaintance of his father. The physician takes few moments to get the purport of the query and makes a fake gesture that it is very serious. Allahu Akbar. Technician preparing the medicine for Hazrat Shaikh (DB) said that other can move out and he'll relieve  Maulvi Abdul Muqsit with medicine very soon. Advocate Yusuf hands over the keys to of the car this sinner so that the doors can be opened while he himself guides Hazrat Shaikh(DB) to the seat beside the driver.

A Path to Righteousness

If you fear Allah(SWT) and keep in contact of people of Allah (SWT) then also you'll end up being pious.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

Two Actions and Their Effects

If you make planning to indulge in sins then you'll end up being a sinner. If you make plans to do acts of obedience of Allah(SWT) then you'll end up becoming righteous.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

Action and Precaution

Get connected to some person of Allah(SWT) but this person should be genuine.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

Caution About Zakat

Hadhrat Wala (Muhi-us-Sunnah) (RA) used to warn about giving Zakat to any Madarsa. He said that first make proper inquiry and only then give your Zakat to that Madarsa only then your Zakat will be considered paid. Today there are people who'll tell you tall stories about their Madarsa but actually all worldly things might be taking place there.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

An Advantage of Pledge

The meaning of Pledge (with a Shaikh) is that one comes to hate this world and love the next one. Whole of the house is filled with blessings of Allah(SWT) but this person is all the time aware that one day he (or she) has to leave this world.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

A Dream of an Associate

Day before yesterday a person (an associate of Muhi-us-Sunnah (RA)) made a telephone call that he saw Muhi-us-Sunnah (RA) in dream. Hadhrat (RA) was asking whether this associate was doing certain pious acts or not. Hazrat Shaikh (DB) concluded from this that this person should become occupied in good deeds.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

The Least Advantage

Whether any body else listens to (your ) admonitions or not you should get busy with your own reformation.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

Environmental Problem

The whole environment is polluted (with bad character traits). How can one act righteously in this environment? Remember that covering (the shield from above troubles) is a Godly injunction. Why is it not being implemented?

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

Controlling the Body Parts

Whatever body parts are indulging in sins these will come under control if we try to remember and realize that Allah Most High is All-Hearing, All-Seeing, All-Aware and All-Knowing.

(Sitting (Majlis) on Friday September 9, 2011)

The Genuine and The Fake

If the Shaikh is merely interested in gifts then he is not a Shaikh at all.

(Sitting (majlis) on Friday, September 30, 2011)

Two Admonitions

Avoid useless things and try to generate concentration (khushua) in Prayers.

A Blessed Sitting

This Sitting (Majlis) began with the Praise of Lord (Hamd) and Peace (Salah) on Beloved Prophet (PBUH). Because of it the Sitting (Majlis) has become blessed.

Qari Amir Hasan Sahab (DB), Anona House, Friday, September 30, 2011

Bunch of Light

Remainder of Pious Predecessors Arifbillah Hadhrat Maulana Qari Amir Hasan Sahab Hafizahullah Damatbarkatuhu has arrived today morning at Anona House. His health is on the lower side as compared to his last visit but never the less his attended Prayers in the Mosque. As usual during his visits the number of people attending the Sitting (Majlis) was larger than normal attendance.

Trampling Modesty

Modesty is being trampled. As if funeral of modesty is taking place. This the Mercy of Allah Most High that he has not stopped our urination and defecation.

Second Hand Saying

Mufti Muhammed Usama said:
Nowadays Qari Amir Hasan Sahab(DB) is telling three things everywhere and with repetition-he'll repeat a single thing two or three times. He say that firstly we have stopped crying before Allah (SWT), secondly we have stopped consulting Allah(SWT) and thirdly we, in one way or other, are involved in usury based transactions.

Arzu Khan Sherwani

Brother Arzu is Hadhrat Masihullah Khan Sherwani Jalalabadi(RA)'s nephew.  He occasionally visits Anona House. Today also he came during the Sitting (Majlis).

TSHS: Is it true that Hadhrat Jalalabadi(RA) was your elder uncle (Taya or tao in local dialect-not used by puritanical Urdu speakers)?

Arzu Sahab: Yes.

TSHS: Tell us something about him.

Arzu Sahab: I'll give you a book.

TSHS: That will be very nice but we'll want some verbal stories too!

Arzu Sahab: (Smiles)

TSHS: Somebody was mentioning a biography of Hadhrat Jalalabadi (RA) on Sunni Forum. Who has written it? Are you talking about that?

Arzu Sahab: I am talking about Sayings (malfoozat). And there is a biography that was written in Mewat. Another one by Ghayasuddin Sahab of Allahabad-an associate of Hadhrat. Then there is one that has been written in Pakistan.

TSHS: There is a brother who is an associate (mureed) of Mufti Nawal-ur-Rahman Sahab. He frequently talks about his Shaikh.

Arzu Khan: These are four brothers Jamal-Kamal-Nawal and I have forgotten the name of fourth brother-they got their education in Jalalabad.

Gems of the Day

By the Grace of Allah Most High two gems have been reported by two of our favourite blogs.
First one is from Noor of Nobility.

Avoiding Confusion & Doubts

September 21, 2011

Hazrat (db) said,
If two things are developed in an individual then all the doubts they have will leave.
1) Azmat (greatness/magnificence)
2) Muhabbat (love)
By questioning or by actual research, one does not solve anything. This just creates further doubts. The fact that doubts even develop in a person is a sign of the nonexistence of these two things. If a person doesn’t feel the greatness of what they are a part of, if we lack that love for our mashaa’ikh, then the only way to fix this is to develop these two things. And the way to do this is to be in the company of the ahle muhabbat. Once a person develops this azmat and muhabbat for everything, Hazrat Thanwi (rah) says that my experience tells me that a person, even if they want to, then they cannot find confusion or doubt.
Here Hazrat(db) means Maulana Mohammed Nabeel Ahmed Khan Sahib (DB). And this is a wonderful quotation. Actually confusions and doubts are the most debilitating things one can experience in life. Our Lord Most Merciful and Most Beneficent by His Grace reassures us in the beginning (after Fatiha) of the Holy Qur'an that you have no doubts that there is guidance for certain people. Our Masha-ikh make these things clear to us and above quote is such an example. Our modern life puts lots of doubts and confusion in our thinking and the solution is there in front of our eyes. Just develop reverence and love for people of Allah (in whatever way you can) and then you can not have confusions and doubts even if you want to have! Sub-han Allah.

The second gem is of course from Ashrafia. This one too is very cute.

Is This Islahi Ta’luq?

Posted on

An individual approached sayyidi wa sanadi Shaikh Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani (Allah preserve him) with extreme reverence and admiration. After salutations were exchanged Shaikh inquired his purpose of visit. He replied that, ‘I have islahi ta’luq (relationship for self improvement) with you.’
Shaikh looked at him sternly and said, ” I do not recognize you at all.
What type of islahi ta’luq is this?
Is this something playful?
Whenever you feel like keeping in contact you decide to come and at other times you are absconding.
I am sorry. I can not assit in such type of relationship. Please, excuse me. Now you can go. Find someone else who agrees to this type of relationship. ”
Another such scenario occurred. However, the seeker (already a murid) admitted his mistake and asked for forgiveness. After admonsihing him Shaikh instructed,
‘Attend the weekly majlis regularly. Meet me after the majlis. If you are regular and serious with this then I will consider giving you permission to restart this relationship.’
Office, Darul Uloom, Karachi after duhar, 28th Ramadan 1432/ 29August 2011
To get to the sweetness of the episode we have to remember a couplet:
Hai Jano Muhabbat Agar Woh Khafa HoN
Gar Hum Bhi Khafa HoN To Muhabbat Nahi Hai

(Take it as love if he is angry
If I am angry then it's love lost)

So the anger and displeasure shown by the Shaikh(DB) in fact shows the presence of love. And if one detects that he is loved by a person like Mufti Taqi Usmani Sahab(DB) then lucky is the good characterization of such a soul.

The strange thing is that when a disciple (mureed) is being so loved every reader feels loved. strange are the ways of Allah(SWT).
