A Ramadhan Capsule

The latest post on Noor of Nobility begins with this:
Abundantly recite the four following things during Ramadan
1) La ilaha illa Allah
2) Istighfaar
3) Ask for Jannah
4) Seek Protection from Jahannam
*The last two can be done together through the following dua’: Allahumma inni asaluka al-jannah wa ‘audhubika min an-naar.
This is a nice capsule. This is what we get to hear everyday in Ramadhan.

To Keep Or Not To Keep

A gift was given to Muhi-us-Sunnah Shah Hardoi  Hazrat Maulana Abrar-ul-Haq Sahab (RA).
The gift was in a small but very beautiful bag. Hazrat asked whether the bag has to be returned.
The answer was no-it was part of the gift.

Pure and Duplicate

This is ghee-English language desperately tried to find an equivalent like clarified butter. Alright this that-ghee.

This is a cheap, and very common, substitute for above. It is called vanaspati (vegetable) ghee-it is hydrogenated vegetable oil.

The two are as different from each other as are any pure and duplicate things. In common parlance the former is called desi ghee and the latter dalda (a brand name gone generic). These are used as metaphors to differentiate between genuine and fake things in Urdu land.

Blessings Be Sustained

Urdu Ashrafia has used some excerpts from the recently uploaded Urdu Sermons' Booklets of Hazrat Shaikh

See here
and here.

May Allah (SWT) sustain the blessings of those two blogs.

You Are Not Alone

Allah (SWT) has not forsaken you.
He (SWT) is Al-Ghafoor and Ar-Rahim.
And when you make supplications, O the Supplicant, do not do it alone.
For you are not alone.
Find a guide for yourself.

O the Supplicant do not indulge in supplications alone
Supplicate and find a guide for you.

Signs of Allah : Elders

Allah (SWT) is known from his Signs.
Somebody asked who are the People of Allah.
Somebody answered that these are the people who remind you of Allah.
Indeed our Elders (Buzurgaan-e-Deen) are Signs of Allah.
And they are also Proof of Allah (SWT).
Some of them much more than others.
Hazrat Aqdas Shah Muhammed Ashraf Ali Sahab Thanwi Quddis Allahu Sirruhu was one of them.
There you find gnosis (Marifat-e-Ilahi). And you do not find anything else there.
So what was he then, if not a Proof of Allah (SWT)?
Hujjat-ullah in deed.
If you want to be a man of Truth (Allah Sub-hanahu Wa Ta'ala)

then do not be desirous of truth from all and sundry

get it from Hazrat Ashraf Ali Shah (RA)
for he is Proof of Allah (SWT) for the people of world.

Honouring Holy Qur'an

There is lots of raucous regarding desecration of Holy Qur'an. And what about the mistreatment of it in the Mosques itself?

Amazing Generation

We have already pointed out expressions and impressions from this blog. The blogger there, though a university teacher, belongs to the new generation. And it must be an amazing generation-a hope for the future of Ummah. See for your self the comment there after passing away of Maulana Yunus Patel (RA):

It is in their noble deaths that Allah SWT proves the sincerity and truthfulness of our Ulama and Mashaaikh to those who doubt!
And All-Pure is our Lord Most High!

Sayings in Urdu Booklets Form

As reported earlier, Dr Syed Muhammed Mujtaba Husain Nadwi had been working on Urdu transcription of some of the daily Sermons in the Sittings (Majalis) of Hazrat Shaikh (DB). Eight of these Sermons have been printed in booklet form by a seminary of Majlis-e-Dawat-ul-Haq called Madarsa Muhammediya A'alapur, Lakhi Sarai, Bihar. These should soon be available in the Books page above. The present information in that page will be transferred to the similarly named page at the other blog.

Poem by Pir Zulfiqar Sahab (DB)

Change My World, Change My Heart
by
Pir Zulfiqar Ahmed Sahab Naqshbandi (DB)

Badal de Dil ki duniya dil badal day
(Alter the world of my heart, Alter my heart)
Mera Ghaflat mein dooba dil badal day
(Alter my heart submerged in heedlessness)

Hawa-o-Hirs wala dil badal day
(Alter my heart full of longings and desires)
Mera Ghaflat mein dooba dil badal day
(Alter my heart submerged in heedlessness)

Badal de Dil ki duniya dil badal day
(Alter the world of my heart, Alter my heart)
Khudaya Fazl farmaa dil badal day
(Have Mercy my Lord, Alter my heart)

Gunah gaari main kab tak Umr kaatoun
(How long shall I waste my life in sins?)
Badal day Mera rasta dil badal day
(Alter my path, Alter my heart))

Sunoun Main naam Tera dharkanon Main
(I must hear your name in heartbeats)
Maza aajaye Maula dil badal day
(That will be lovely, Alter my heart)

Hataaloun aankh apni Maa-siwa say
(I must turn my eyes away from others)
Jiyoun Mein Teri khatir dil badal day
(I must live for you only, Alter my heart)

Karoun Qurbaan Apni Saari Khushiyaan
(I must sacrifice all of my happiness)
Tu apna ghum ata kar dil badal day
(Give me your pain, Alter my heart)

Sehal farmaa musalsal yaad apni
(Make your constant remembrance easy fro me)
Khudaya Reham farmaa dil badal day
(Have Mercy o my Lord, Alter my heart)

Para houn Teray dar par dil shikasta
(I am lying broken with heart at your door step)
Rahoun kyu dil shikasta dil badal day
(Why should I remain so? Alter my heart)

Tera hojaoun itni arzoo hay
(To be yours only, this is my longing)
Bas itni hay tamanna dil badal day
(That is my desire, Alter my heart)

Meri faryaad sunlay Meray Maula
(Hear my cry O My Lord)
Banalay apna banda dil badal day
(Make me your slave, Alter my heart)

Dilay magmoom ko masroor karday
(Change my sad heart into happy one)
Dil-e-be noor ko purnoor karday
(Change my lack luster heart into shining one)

Faroza dil mein sham-e-toor karday
(Enlighten my heart with the lamp of Sinai)
Yay gosha noor say m'amoor karday
(Fill this corner with light)

Mera zahir sanwar jaaye Ilaahi
(O my Lord, let my outer be groomed)
Meray baatin ki zulmat door karday
(Remove all the darkness inside me)

Hay meri ghaat mein khud nafs mera
(My own baser self is after me)
Khudaya isko bey maqdoor karday
(O Lord make it ineffective))

Ma-e-wahdat Pila makhmoor karday
(Make me drink the wine of Your Unity, Make me drunk)
Mohabbat k nashay main choor karday
(Make me drunk with the sedative of your love)
