More Than a Year Ago

Inviting all the world leaders to enter the circle of Islam Saudi Grand Mufti Shaikh Abdul Aziz said that Islam is a peaceful religion (it has no place for terrorism). Conspiracies are being hatched against Islam. Doubts are been sown in the minds of the youth and attempts are being made to destroy them (the youth). Delivering  Haj sermon to three million pilgrims at the Namra Mosque located in the field of Arafat Muft Abdul Aziz said that a huge storm is arriving from the west.

TSHS in Iceland!

Among the latest appearances on the list of countries visiting Thus Spake Hazrat Shaikh is Iceland. This blog is based in tropical environment. Reaching Iceland is certainly a cool thing. Arctic environment was not in the field of view at the beginning of the blog. All Praise is due to Lord Most High for how abundantly He rewards the meager efforts of we the rubbish. May He, in His Mercy, provide sustenance in His Blessings. A Euro-centric view of Islam and Muslims in Scandinavian countries in particular and Europe in general is provided by the blog Islam in Europe. For a more amicable view we have to depend upon Mufti Muhammed Taqi Usmani' (DB)s travel writing, namely, the articles in his second travelogue World in Front of Me (Duniya Mere Aage). We do not know whether it is available in English yet or not. Short of that is that yes there are Muslims there in the regions approaching the arctic circle too. Yes, they practice Islam. Yes, they have solved the ultramodern problems also like Prayer timings in those regions that are more close to the polar region than to the equatorial regions-up to a large extent.

Dear Icelanders welcome, a warm welcome, to Thus Spake Hazrat Shaikh. Your arrival has made our day. Thank you.

And once again All Praise is for Lord Most High for all that.

Public Benefit by Kalim's Sayings - 26

(28)  Today when Hazrat Qari Sahab (DB) was telling the following thing in the sitting (majlis) that we are Hanafi but even then many people, including knowledgeable ones, do not implement the act of holding hands below belly button. The need is to implement this Sunnah. At that time Allah Most High put this thing into the heart that the investigation of scholars have lead to the conclusion that the hands should be held either below or above the belly button. For Hanafis below and for Shafei and others above the belly button. In any case the hands are held around the belly button - either above or below. So the reason for it is that the condemnable ideas go up to the heart from below. After purifying declaration (takbir-e-tehrima) this external act will have the following real benefit that damaging thoughts and whisperings will stop there. They will not move towards the heart. Thus state of concentration and communion (khushu-khuzu) will be achieved. This thought, Lord Willing, will give lots of benefits and the heart will be protected from dangers and doubts during the prayers.

(The reporter says that this was a gathering of scholars and the elite. On hearing this everybody impulsively said that Allah is Pure (Sub-han Allah). This was a strange point of wisdom that was heard for the first time. Following oration of Hazrat Kashmiri (RA) can be presented as an example of this that once while describing the hidden great wisdom of external actions of Prayers he said that while raising hands at the time of Forbidding Declaration (takbir-e-tehrima) one should think that I am pushing everyone else back and turning completely towards Allah Most High. This means external physical actions have a direct effect on heart and it helps in achieving concentration. From these two orations of Hazrat Kashmiri (RA) and Hazrat Hakim Sahab (DB) this too becomes apparent that even if one is not a (religious) scholar but because of connection with Allah and the blessings of His Remembrance the heart becomes so enlighten that it is capable and competent to perceive the truth and strange revealings and events occur on hearts.)

Public Benefit by Kalim's Sayings - 25

(27) Sin is fatal poison. Take utmost care to avoid it. To avoid sins and to act upon Sunnah,  make these things must for you. People of Allah make lots of effort to avoid sins. Indeed they avoid sins in the same way as man keeps away from wild beasts. Then let alone sins they make repentance even for the occurrence of whisperings for sins. They worry as to why any whispering arose? What was its reason? They ponder over it and then they repent for it and they ask Lord's forgiveness for that. Now as far as  avoidance of sins is concerned then I request the following: take the body part that is going to be used to commit sin- think about its loss and benefits. Think that Allah Most High has given us very many blessings through that body part. For example if there is an urge of evil glances then think that what a wonderful blessing our eyes are. With them we see the Holy Qur'an. We see the blessings on the earth and in the sky, we get pleasure of seeing our parents and children. How could I indulge in disobedience of Allah using this blessing of eyes? How can we set our sights upon forbidden things? Similarly if there is an urge to listen to behind the back talk and any other forbidden thing then ponder about the benefits of ears and their blessings that you receive from them. Think as to how can I use this great blessing in disobedience of Lord? If you tell to a deaf person that a Qari has wonderful recitation and he reads in beautiful pitch and you too listen to it then with what longing he would say that I am devoid of this blessing! Similarly at the urge to sins of tongue think that the Pure Name of Lord Most High is recited with this tongue, Recitation of Holy Qur'an is done by it, so many beautiful things are said with it. Ask the value of this tongue to a dumb person who is deprived of this blessing. Now how shameless it is that I use this same beneficial thing in the disobedience of Allah Most High. Lord willing this type of thinking and pondering over the urges to sin will help a lot in avoiding them.

The Jam'at Philosophy

Suppose there is a diamond lying in a drain. You pour ten buckets of water on that. Nothing will happen. Neither the diamond nor the drain will be cleaned. Next take the diamond out and take a jug full of water. It will be sufficient to clean both your hand as well as the diamond. Same is the situation of a believer. When he is in the midst of the society then it is difficult to change his ways towards religion even with utmost efforts. Take him out of that environment and even  a little bit of work on him can bring a revolution and change in his life. All of us (who are working in Jam'at) got the pain of love our first three days outing only.

Dr. Nadir Ali Khan Sahab(DB).

Half a Century

It is nice to reach milestones. Or let us be more precise. Milestones are worthy of congratulations but not worthy of indulgence. Oops! Our Elders say that when we see pleasing things on our way, in our journey then these are good things but we should not get involved in them. For example when you are traveling and on the when you see a nice series of waterfalls then it is a good and pleasant thing but it is not advisable to forget the journey and turn to these scenes completely. The beautiful scenes that occur in the course of a spiritual traveler are the states of ecstasy and extremely pleasant and enjoyable dreams. These might distract a traveler from his path and hence our elders protect us from turning a good thing into a bad one and have advised us to continue our journey.

Coming back to the title of the post. Today official number of countries visiting Thus Spake Hazrat Shaikh, according to ClustrMaps,  has reached fifty. We have definite indications that this number is larger but it should not matter. Allah Most High in His Pleasure decided that His word be heard, or read, in more than fifty of His countries with our meager efforts. And All Thanks are due to Him only for that. Once again welcome you all but remember that you, we, still have the responsibility to take His word to eighty percent of the world population to which we have not taken it yet. If that sounds difficult then relax-it is not, forget not that one of the repeated sayings of Hazrat Muhi-us-Sunnah (RA) is that our responsibility is only to communicate (clearly and in no uncertain terms) and not to get it accepted for the guidance is from Lord Most High only.

And so is the ability/capability/capacity (taufiq) to communicate. May Allah Most High in His Mercy give us this opportunity. Amen

Public Benefit by Kalim's Sayings - 24

(26) People of Allah instruct for implementation of a lot of remembrance. Remembrance is of three types. Remembrance with tongue, remembrance with heart and remembrance with body. But a lot of importance goes to remembrance of heart. People of Allah at all times are worried about keeping the heart in a state of remembrance. They do not allow it to be oblivious. In the light of (practice of ) physical medicine Allah Most High give the following enlightenment (to the serviceable personality of Hazrat Shaikh (DB)) about this that as the bodily function of heart is to spread out the clean blood in all body parts so that they receive life and freshness similarly remembrance of heart cleans up darkness and dirt from heart and gives it light of God consciousness. Then it makes the person indulging in remembrance a shining person by spreading the light to all body parts. This way the whole existence of men becomes an embodiment of spiritual solace and enlightenment.

May Lord Have Mercy

Some teachers of Madarsa Islamia T'amir-e-Millat, Dodhpur hired an SUV to attend the last rites of Late Maulana Marghoob-ur-Rehman (RA). One Funeral Prayers had taken place in Bijnor only that was lead by Mufti Shabbir Ahmed Qasmi Shaikh-ul-Hadis at Jamia Qasmia Madarsa Shahi, Muradabad. Second Funeral Prayer was held at Deoband lead by Maulana (RA)'s son Maulana Anwar-e-Ilahi who teaches at Dar-ul-Uloom. This one was around 11.00PM in the night. It was 3.00AM already by the time the funeral was over. The Aligarh contingent could not reach the body of the departed soul due to congestion. After six hours journey in the night they were back to the Madarsa in the morning.

Thus we bid farewell to the man who took over the responsibility after painful events of 1982AC.

(25) There is the need  to convey a thing with wisdom and proper manner. The talk must be according to the condition of each social group so that they can digest and accept it. Nothing should be imposed all of a sudden. The beginning should not make with the highest stage and the first step must not be too difficult. Some very accomplished women of the University have made Religious contact (with Hazrat Shaikh (DB)). It was requested to them that there is privacy (satar) and curtain (hijab). Any part of chest and arms above wrists must not be exposed in any case. These should not be exposed at all for their covering is mandatory and opening is forbidden (haraam). There can not be any concession in that. Then both feet up to ankles, both hands up to wrists can be kept open. This is permitted. As for as the face is concerned than during the work if it is very necessary then open it up – after that keep that too in covered. Now is it difficult to maintain purdah like this? You act upon it for your own benefit. As a result the matter become clear to them. There is a lady professor who is following these instructions. She is working and she is acting upon these instructions. Similarly there is a lady lawyer who has correctional relationship (with Hazrat Shaikh (DB)). She too is implementing this. In fact she, from a lawyer, has become a judge. In the same state of hijab. The latest news is that she is going to be promoted. In any case the need is to do correction with wisdom.
